The Away Café - Amelia & kate

Eating simply and well whether you’re on vacation or just living like you are.

A few years ago, Kate bought a pretty Moleskin cookbook and started writing down the recipes that work best on vacation—no special ingredients, not too complicated, and delicious. The notebook was easy to pack and made cooking on vacation SO MUCH EASIER because all of them worked and we knew how to shop for them. When Amelia discovered a love and gift for cooking, they had to up the ante. The recipes were still simple, but they became more varied and even more delicious. We almost have a cookbook ready for some lucky publisher, but in the meantime, we wanted to share some of our treasures with you (yes, this is really all for you.)

Getting Around

As our blog is new, getting around is even easier than pie. Nonetheless, as the recipes will build up, know that the front page always displays our newest recipe, the recipes page is a riot of excitement, where we have dreamed up categories to help you find what you most want to make and eat today, and our list of travel ingredients, where we share the ingredients we generally pack for road trips or find worth buying at the store (who wants to buy three different kinds of vinegar for a mere week of vacation meals? Okay, we do, but we seldom give in.)
